The road to my science fair project started out when my teacher told me that there would be a regional science fair and if I was interested in entering. I was very intrigued by the offer, and so I decided I would enter with a partner who helped me come up with an idea. Our project revolved around ionizing radiation on plants and seeing how it affected there mitotic cell …show more content…
This project was a failure. It was very rough cause looking back to all the time spent on this project we accomplished no results. I felt as if though the science I believed in let me down and emotionally it was rough to see that happen. Failure was the worst case scenario and it happened. We ended up going to finish other criterias of the project so we would have enough time to finish up.
As we tried to put our project together with our control results and mostly internet findings, we came up with a phenomenal idea. The idea was that we could flip the script and use failure as the basis of our project and really talk about how it impacted us. It was risky, but it payed of big time as we won 2nd place in the science fair!
When I looked back at my project one of the most important things that I took from it was that failure can always be used to create new opportunities if one never ends up working. This rule I still apply today especially when I work through various labs in each of my science
