who have gone before us, dying for our rights and for our duties as American citizens, should be remembered as we push the lever for a vote.
My next child, well let’s just say we are lucky he is not a Professor of American Politics. He can talk circles around you, me and Hillary or Trump. He could have a very bright future in lawyering and then as a Supreme Court Judge. But, he will be “the one who marches to his own beat.” And, yet, when it comes time to vote, he vote for what he believes in.
Now, finally, my daughter, who is watching this election year closely, very closely since she will vote in the next election. This is the time of Woman, and she is watching, after all she will be a woman one day and is at this point a young woman. We have had a lot of discussion in our home about this presidential vote coming up in November. Have I always had the answer? Absolutely not!
I can tell you though, when my daughter looks at me while watching the news and looks to me and says, “Will you vote for him?” while she is hearing a man speak horribly about a woman and I cringe at what I am hearing, then hear her ask that question? No, I will not vote for Trump. No, I will not vote for Hillary. But, I do know God is in control, no matter what. God has given to me three smart, beautiful and mind boggiling children. He is in control, no matter who is president. And, my children? Well, let’s just say, they are too smart to fall for the shenanigans of this election.
