According to her, she has been in the nursing program for a year and a half now. While she was applying for the program, the college asked her for a letter of intent which is a letter that describe the reason she applied for the program. My friend explained to me that the reason why she chose nursing is because she was really interested in helping other people that are ill and the salary of a nurse is high. She mentioned that the program comes with a lot of paperwork and to be able to accomplish that paperwork you’ll have to limit your social time, family time and free time. Other than that, she explained that in this program you’re obligated to attend clinical which is like a job, to experience how it will be when they actually apply for a nursing job anywhere.
She is able to work with medicine and help the sick people while she’s in clinical. Clinical isn’t only a ‘’job’’, according to her it is still a class since they’re still learning while working. furthermore, my friend doesn’t want to start working at a hospital once she’s done with the program, but she is planning on attending university.
As much as I like nursing, I believe that I am not sure if I am capable of handling stacks of paperwork. Nursing isn’t my first choice but dental hygiene is. Both requires the same amount of study time and focus. My mind is still open to other program than the two that I’ve mentioned. I’m not sure about what I want to do yet in
life.
