The summer of 2017 my cousin from Fargo, North Dakota visited for 2 weeks. She was 19 at the time and I was 17. Since then, we were finally of age, to explore the city alone, we spent hours going through 3 of the five boroughs. We went everywhere from Harlem to the Brooklyn Bridge, Coney Island, and the biggest tourist attraction, Time Square. During these excursions, we learned how to properly navigate throughout the Big Apple. We learned the Subway Station routes and how to follow maps. Coming from a small town like Wallkill, New York if you want to go somewhere and buy something you need to own a car. After a while, that begins to be a burden especially if you do not have your license or car.
