Many Americans today enjoy a variety of freedoms given to them by their country. Most people do not think what it took to allow them to have the freedom they enjoy today. So many people take for granted that they have the ability to do or become whatever they desire. In America, there are no restrictions on what you can do. You are born in a country that gives you the privileges numerous people desire. I grew up with a family full of veterans. My grandfather took the most pride in being a veteran. To him, it was the highest honor to serve his country. He taught me to always have pride that I am able to live in the wonderful country I do. We need to go out and make a difference by our actions toward others. We have three choices in life: accept it, change it, or forget it. We live in a country that allows us to change something if we do not agree with it. Or it allows us to disagree with something we do not believe in. We are responsible for our actions and what they represent. While Colin may have a good idea and a good reason for what he is doing, he is going about it the wrong way. He is causing another problem and drawing attention to it rather than to his original issue.
Kneeling while ¨The National Anthem¨ plays is not going to spark a change. To change something, you have to stand up and take action. Go out and speak about and show the world why you are doing what you are doing. We shape our own lives. We have to lead by example. We are responsible for our own actions. Some people will refuse to change and that is on them. You cannot change the heart of someone who sees nothing wrong with what they are doing.
Only God has the ability to change the hearts of men. Without Him, there will always be hate and sin in the hearts of men. It is our duty as Christians to spread the Word of God to every man. Then and only then will they be able to love one another. We must show humbleness and understanding to every man. Without God, a country cannot
