contribute to obtain our goals. Not only do I get to achieve things at a faster pace, but as a group we can resolve any obstacles faster than as an individual. Communicating with people has always been something I have excelled at for years.
When I was younger, I used to be so shy that I hated talking to most people and I especially hated talking in front of a class. When I started volunteering at the YMCA, I started getting along with the staff and interacting with the staff, parents, and children. Ever since, I have loved speaking and meeting new people. At my work site, the Family YMCA of the Desert, I have learned to communicate with a range of people from three year olds to my coworkers and of course the parents. Working at the YMCA has allowed me to get hands on experience with kids and it helps me when I'm with my family or at an important facility. I get to also express my organizational skills, cleaning up after kids and helping plan field trips for the kids. The YMCA has opened so many doors for me through my ability to be able to communicate with a variety of
people. Technology is forever changing and I am not the most technical person. I would like to improve my typing capabilities because I still can't type with both hands yet. I plan on taking online exercises to help develop the muscles in my hands to being used to typing. Since I plan on working somewhere in the medical field, being able to type reports would be very useful in my professional goals. After I take a few training exercises I plan on being able to type at a good pace to not fall behind. Teamwork and communicating with others have always been two of my best strengths. One thing I could work on is my technological skills, to be able to type at a fast pace. I plan on continuing my job at the YMCA, playing softball in high school and on a travel team, and always challenging myself to achieve some higher expectations. I hope to be working with kids somewhere in the medical field and coaching a kids softball team in my spare time. I plan on taking difficult courses that will help me out in the long run. Along with conditioning in softball daily to maintain a strong mental and physical health.
