Personal Narrative: My Trip To Carolina Beach Restaurant
The service I received at this store was terrible. The sales associates were very friendly. However, the Store Manager Matt provided “Poor” customer service. My husband and I traveled to Carolina Beach for a weekend fishing trip on the pier. However, the night before we accidentally left our fishing rods at the pier. So the next day we had to purchase all “New” equipment. My Husband prefers only “Sham no” products. I google and saw that “Tex Tackle” near Wrightsville had the fishing rod he was looking for. So we traveled there to purchase the rod. We initially wanted to get the power pro braided line and fishing reels all at the time same time however the store did not sell the specific reel my husband wanted So we just purchased the rods. Once we replaced …show more content…
We never in a million years thought we would have the experience we had. When my husband took the rod in and advise Matt that the tip Broke off he stated “I DON’T BELIEBE THAT” my husband stated I don’t care what you believe it happened. Matt then took the rod to the back to fix it? We no longer wanted or needed the defective equipment therefore we requested a refund on the fishing rod. Matt argued about he could not resale the rod and that we couldn’t have a refund. We reviewed the receipt and nowhere on the receipt stated that they would not issue refunds. Matt had a terrible attitude and was very rude. Once he finally decided to give my husband his money back. As my husband was walking out the door he yelled out” NOW YOU CAN BUT YOU SOME LUNCH”? Really how unprofessional was that? You sold us a defective product. You want to fix it and give it back? Who fished with repaired rods? I feel the entire situation could have been handled differently and without the sarcasm. We did not purchase the rods with intention of returning them. I will “NEVER’ return to this store ever and would not recommend this store to anyone. Matt should be retrained on how to handle returns and other issues if he is the store

I remember the day vividly: the sizzling of food frying, children yelling, my tears running, it was the first time I adventured to Six Flags. The uneasiness of my stomach while swaying tens of feet from the ground on the Texas Giant petrified the adventurous spirit out of me. However, I did not realize that moment `would shape the next eight years of life, emerging in my memory at every unfamiliar experience I faced. It was my senior year when I declined an invitation to go camping with my friends an epiphany struck me. How many of these opportunities was I going to skip out on due to my reluctant manner?…

My Carolina story is one of perseverance. I grew up in a prominently white and underrepresented area, being a multicultural male it was very hard to fit in. However, with the backing of family and friends I was able to overcome many of the obstacles that plagued my area. Through hard work and dedication, I believe that anything is possible. It can be said that as long as you believe in yourself nothing is out of reach. For me this was the key to my success, however, upon applying to UNC-CH I was waitlisted. This greatly hurt my confidence as I felt as if I wasn't smart enough, but to my surprise I made it off the waiting list and enrolled in UNC. Nevertheless, the effects of being waitlisted lingered over me a long period of time. I found myself contemplating whether I was smart enough to attend such a prestigious university. Although soon enough I began to get involved on campus and through this I realized UNC was the best place for me and that no matter what I could make it at a esteemed university. The diversity that UNC offers was a vital key in helping to understand my place, I heard that "diversity creates identity" and this has been one of the strongest statements I have ever heard. My Carolina story is one of struggle and perseverance to fit in, yet, with hope and hard work you can accomplish anything.…

It was just a boring day in my hometown, a traditional, weak entrance a lot of narrative stories use to try to get the attention of the readers. This story, however, isn’t one of those traditional stories; this one involves a day that had been exciting up to that point already. The memory that resonates daily throughout my mind would have to be the time when I went to Six Flags for the first time in my life. Before I jump into my story, I should tell you my friends mess with each other a lot, almost to the point where we get into fights with each other.…

When one thinks of summer, it immediately comes to mind the sight of sandy beaches, amusement parks and hot sunny days. Coney Island, an extravagant vacation playground to visit especially for the summer. I have recently had an opportunity to come to such a wonderful place that the sights are still engraved in my mind. There were other attractions that I have missed out on mainly since I had only one day there. If time was not an issue, I would have definitely visited more programs that they provide. Getting there is also not a problem due to their cheap and handy subway system. One thing to be cautioned about is that it can get extremely busy on the weekends, so the best time to be there would be on the weekdays, especially if you do not want…

There is no doubt that South Carolina is one of the few states making progress down south but to fulfill my wants/needs I needed to move here to New York. After months of contemplating I realized that for a chance to be treated as everyone else that I would need to make this change, I needed the money that work would bring, a chance to showcase my talents and living conditions near the plantation were harsh and unfair. I feel that this was the best decision to make at this point in time. Times are changing and we deserve to be, act and live better.…

My job title is “Jack of all Trades.” In this family owned diner, I am required to do whatever is necessary at that point in time to serve the customers efficiently and personally; therefore, I help in all aspects of the diner. I work as a busboy, dishwasher, waiter, server, hostess, line prep, and even the chef. My relationship with my supervisors, Carroll and Mary White, is like being a part of the family in which they are my parents. We are free to discuss all topics among each other and with the customers. After gaining the acceptance of the “regulars,” they became…

I walk into a nice fancy restaurant. I see people dressed nicely, smiling, and talking. I feel like I am on a never-ending roller-coaster, I can feel the excitement in the air. We wait here waiting for the waiter to walk us to our seats. I can hear the classical music playing, chairs squeaking, eating utensils clanging, water dripping from the sink, and birds chirping, Oh, the beautiful sounds you hear in a ritzy restaurant. As the waiter walks us to our seat I see all the glorious food they have, I have so many choices to choose from. I look at the menu I start to get so hungry. So I say to the waiter I think I’ll take a camel to go, just kidding, I’ll take a steak well done with mashed potatoes and with a side of salad and of course the drink…
