When I walked in I didn’t know what to expect, but my expectations were raised as soon as I took my first step inside the location on Port Road, Hindmarsh I instantly noticed the cleanliness, the aroma of the burgers sizzling on the grill, the friendly- smiling faces and the presentation- It all gave an Americana feel with a hint of hipster. The décor was simple, but yet so effective; a relaxed, stylish and modern interior design. Blonde wooden panelling, white- tiled flooring and ample amount of space! Which would be excellent if catering for a numerous
amount of people.
What’s not to love?
I was extremely impressed with the staff efficiency, patron turnover, service and their friendly and helpful attitude. The menu was a delight as it was so difficult to choose between all the mouth- watering options! But personally I love spice, flavoursome food and well chicken! And I found the perfect option: The Spicy Chicken Burger- made my heart sing! At the cost of $8.90 it was a pleasure to take in, the aroma of when it arrived, was so irresistible that I couldn’t wait to dive in. The butter- milk coated chicken, slightly charred and seasoned with a bit of chilly was the highlight to my burger! The fancy, caramelised red onions and the herby chipotle mayo all complimented the burger. The flavours harmonized and created such a melody that there was no way that I could not enjoy it. The fire danced on my tongue as soon as I bit into it! The fiery jalapenos exploded with spice, hotness and well flavour which uplifted the burger! (Was my favourite part of the burger) Though my biggest concern was the one and only- Coleslaw! People either love it or don’t! and not to mention I’m one that doesn’t. Though surprisingly it wasn’t bad! Had a reasonable amount of flavour, but it did overpower the plump, juicy texture of the chicken.
