By the time I was in the 5th grade I had already been reading a lot of books. Many of the books were interesting, some not so much. Some were also simple, but most were difficult. I had this one book I always favourited called, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It was my childhood
book growing up. Every year a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book would come out and everyone would buy it. I personally liked it because of its context and its reputation for being a good book. As years pass on I get older lose interest in reading it. It was probably because I had other stuff to do, but this book will always be my favourite.
And so, most of my time in high school consisted of many work tasks, and writing was one of them. I had been writing all my life and I can’t say I enjoy it. Many of my pieces caused me to succeed, but many of which resulted in failure. Maybe because literature isn’t my strongest class.
Writing a long comprehensive paper for class can be difficult, but writing a piece that matters, motivates me to do better. If I don’t get a good score on a paper, it tells me that I have to do better to surpass the low grade I got.
During my tenth grade year with Mr. Titherely, I learned an abundance of wonderful writing techniques. He taught me how to construct a well-done paragraph from top to bottom. With memorizing the MLA format to paragraph structure. I have learned many new things in this class that will help me throughout the future.
I truly hope that this year I would accomplish many things in this class to improve my reading and writing skills. And accomplishing many new tasks and learning many new things from this AP class. As well as passing the AP test.
Sincerely,
Kurt Dela Cruz
