I was terrible with talking to almost anyone except for friends and family. The thought of making small talk with strangers frightened me more than accidentally stepping on a sharp tack. Heidi, Sean’s mom, responded with a simple “okay” to then lead us to an open table. She offered us to a packed table, which seemed unreasonable, but they replied saying that the table has is already full. Looking for the next table, she noticed a nearly empty table with only a couple and some familiar Leos members. The couple was old, but they had a welcoming sort of appeal to me. His happy words uplifted my spirit, drawing a smile on my face! I realized how hard I worked to accomplish my job, and now I might even earn a prize! A joyful sigh slipped out of my mouth.
