Midway into our shift about 7:30 pm, I had greeted a group of five ladies, “hello welcome to Charlotte Russe,” no response. I noticed two of them carrying very large totes and the moment they walked in they split into two different groups.
I spoke to my headset, “two possible groups
of friends have walked in”. I made eye contact with Jaime and pointed with my eyes in the direction of both groups. The girls and I were on alert like a security detail in a movie standing guard waiting for the criminals to make their move. I walked over to one group who were hanging around our Night section looking at some shirts.
I asked, “Are you ladies finding everything okay?”
She pretended to not hear me, I tried again, “is there anything I can help you ladies find?”
“We are fine thanks.” Rude, cringing as I walk away from the snob in her tone. But I heard her whisper to her friend “we better hurry up”.
