accomplishing my goals. Furthermore, I am going to retake my SAT to improve my score, and to take my ACT in October. Moreover, I plan to maintain my GPA higher than a 3.2 which is currently a 3.8. I also plan to maintain my grades in school and finish my senior year with A’s. I have been in art club since last year, and plan to join math club, Spanish club, and stem club; my hobbies include sketching, fishing, swimming, and camping. To increase my chances of acceptance into college, I have challenged myself by taking numerous advanced courses such as Honors and AP classes. The overall reason I yearn to go to college is to have new experiences and achieve my goals in life. I believe that by going to colleges it will improve my chances of having a successful life and being happy.
In addition, I want to enter college in order for my parents to be proud of me. Both of my parents were only able to reach a certain educational point, so going to college would be a major accomplishment in our family. When I enter college, I plan to take the requirements needed to get my bachelors degree; such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, etc. Furthermore, since I am the eldest child in my family, I would be the first of my siblings to enter a university; which would set a good example for my younger siblings to follow. Financially I would need the scholarships since my father makes 22,000 dollars a year, and supports the five members of my family; because of this, he works long hours for very little money. I plan on using the scholarship money to pay for my tuition, books, and As a child, I would hardly see him because he got home late at night just to provide for us. Since I want to help my family out, I would like to get the scholarship in order for my parents to pay the least amount of money possible. Obtaining this scholarship would mean the world as it would be one step closer to my life
goals. While realizing that there are other candidates that have just as much or even more problems than me, I hope that you will consider me for the scholarship so that I can accomplish my current goal of going to college, and earning my bachelor's degree in nursing.
