The topic I choose for my essay is how bow hunting is different than gun hunting. Hunting in general is one of my favorite things to do. Getting everything ready for archery season is a lot more time consuming than it is for gun season. Bows take a lot more practice to get set perfectly for a great aim. Guns are more easily sighted than bows. Bow hunting also take more strategy and patients because you have to wait on the deer to get closer to you. With a gun you have a farther range to shoot. Also the location of your stand is different with bow hunting. You have to make sure you have open places with to branches covering your shooting area. Gun hunting you can shoot threw brush and small limbs. There are so many differences in bow and gun…

A week earlier, two different hunters each took a deer from that herd. If it wasn’t for the hunters, you probably would’ve hit at least one deer. Deer hunting isn’t as bad as it is portrayed to be! Hunting controls the deer population and along with predator population and the number of accidents involving deer decrease because of good ethical hunting.…

The bear hunt isn’t necessary, and some people may not believe this but it doesn’t change anything. Public debates about trophy hunting often centers on the question of the morality of recreational hunting or the extent to which the money paid by sportsmen seeking a trophy animal provides a conservation benefit to the overall population of game animals and the rural economies where the game is hunted. Bears, cougars, deer, foxes, and other animals who are chased, trapped, and even killed by dogs during hunts are not the only ones to suffer from this variant of the “sport.” Hunting for fun destroys property and injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters (Trophy…

Living in the heart of the western American mountains, meat plays a big role in the generic lifestyle. Many families obtain their meats through recreational hunting, and fishing. Turning twelve in our community means that, you can now get your hunting license and go out with dad every weekend starting in September. It is safe to say that more than the majority of the families that live within the Bitterroot Valley consume a high percentage of meat, every day, for nutritional benefits as well as personal preference. It is the generic ‘western American’ thing to do, sit down with the family on a Sunday afternoon, say grace and eat a burger. One of the biggest holidays around, Thanksgiving, revolves around the harvesting, and consumption of meat. However there is another lifestyle that I feel is important to consider. If I could make a change in my community, big or small, I would choose to provide more vegetarian and vegan options for families to work into their lifestyles.…
