Joining a competitive sport comes with a little bit of danger and risk. Many people believe "That rarely ever happens, people getting big injuries" 3,800,000 concussions were reported in 2012, double what was reported in 2002.(TS 2 pg.2 art. 1 Paragraph 7 ) That's a lot of people! Many people get injured easily. A good coach is an important part of staying safe and having fun while doing that. There are many inexperienced coaches. "Personally, if I had a son, I would not be concerned with him playing football. I would however make sure that his coaches understand the proper techniques that decrease the risk of concussions," (TS 2, pg. 14 art. 3 Paragraph 22) This is significant because the person is saying he would be worried about coaches over him just playing football. Other concerns are, sports injuries interfering with student’s education and technology that doesn’t keep player’s safe. “We work to reduce forces of impact to the player’s head,”(pg. 15 art. 4 p.4) In conclusion, competitive sports are super fun and a great experience to try out but you can't always leave your worries
