Persuasive Essay On Why Students Should Have Private Lockers

Although students should have a private locker some people still believe students lockers should be checked, though other people also believe that students should have private lockers. Though students should have private lockers there are still some people who believe that they should be checked. So lockers shouldn’t be checked because it take away students privacy and they usually pay for their locker which would make their lockers their property. Students need privacy, their locker is the only private object students have, because it store their books, water bottles, and etcetera. If there were locker searches then it would invade the privacy of the students, it could interfere with their personal life and private business. The locker searches would be taking away the students civil rights, which would be outrageous. Locker searches could also be invading the students space this could make a student feel uncomfortable, because if they see something personal to the student and word got out about it the student could feel grievous. So locker searches could cause mental wounds.
If the student paid for their locker and it was searched, then it would be like a police officer coming into your house without a warrant. When a person privacy is invaded it could deteriorate their reputation, so if someones locker is searched and a private note is found in a locker you paid for it would be against civil rights, which means they can’t be treated equally like others after the note was found. In schools word travels around easy and if something like a private note was found it could demolish students self-esteem and make them extrinsic. High school is what makes people into who they will become and if peoples civil rights are ignored it can change them and not make them the best person they can
