Persuasive Speech: Fire Hydrant MUST Be Reported
Good afternoon everyone,

We took a big hit today during our fire inspection and as a result, ALL vehicles that are currently parked on the grass, next to the fire hydrant MUST be removed IMMEDIATELY.

Going forward, NO vehicles will be allowed to park on the grass, in the circle or in any area that has not been designated for parking. Since there is limited parking by the auditorium, come early. As when the few spaces available are gone, you will need to select one in the general parking area that is not "Reserved".

Base command is taking this issue seriously and as such, the fire department will be monitoring buildings and areas to ensure that violators are ticketed and possible reprimanded. Please be cognizant of the danger that this

Parking for team buses at this meet will be in the visitors’ parking lot at the northeast corner of the stadium. The only access to this lot will be via the Manzano Mile which is approximately ¼ mile east of Mustang Drive. As you drive up Manzano Mile you will pass by the baseball and softball fields and then turn left into the parking lot. Enter the stadium through the visitors’ entrance to the stadium. Since this is a school day you will not be able to get to the stadium via Mustang Drive. If you drive up Mustang Drive at this time of day you could get caught in end of school day traffic and be stuck for quite awhile.…

Today, we enjoy a greater modicum of freedom that some of our ancestors could've only dreamed of. However, as we all know, freedom is, quite ironically, not free. Our ancestors all had to escape oppression, whether it be from a tyrannous ruler or a society that demeaned them to nothing because of the color of their skin or their gender. America, the land of opportunity, was a land built by the labours of our forefathers. These men and women fought so valiantly not only to ensure their freedom, but also the freedom of the future generations ahead of them. Even today, although we may not realize it, when we fight for a cause that we are dedicated to, we are not only cementing our futures, but the futures of those ahead of us. It is a quote from…

A quiet evening in the fire station is abruptly broken when the alarms blare and the dispatcher is heard giving prompt information about the caller and the given address. Regardless of what the first responders are doing when the call is received they drop whatever it is and quickly head to the truck bay and head into their vehicles. Even if they were sound asleep or eating the first meal of the day they go to where they are needed. Quickly they turn on the vehicles and the sirens and cut through traffic to reach their destination as soon as possible. The weather or dangers present do not matter as we are here to brave it all.…

Communication between the public facilities director and the police and fire chiefs is very important. In order for the officers to know where people should go, they must have information from the public facilities director to know where they should go, as well as where to avoid going based on our resources. Since the zombies have invaded the north, most of our resources in the north have been lost. The sewage plant has been abandoned and there is no electricity. Therefore, we must notify the authorities of these things so that they are able to make educated decisions on what to do. With there being no electricity in the north and having spotty electricity in the east and west, this can cause problems for being able to stay in constant communication. When faced with this problem, the decision was made to…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

When I was a little girl, we had plenty of fires in the backyard. It was a time where family got together and told funny, or scary stories. It was a time when we made memories with each other. Neighbours used to join in without hesitation. We used to make plenty of food on the fire including; marshmallows, hot dogs, potatoes, and even steak. Some of these neighbours would bring drinks and some would even bring music. We grew up knowing that having backyard fires is a great memory for everyone. As I grew older, I didn't attend as much as I should have been. I was always wanting to be with friends because being around your family wasn't as cool as when you were a kid. Being an adult now, I regret not attending more often as I should have because there are children that don't have the opportunity.…
