Physical Literacy In Canada
To begin with, literacy is the ability to read for knowledge. the ability to write coherently, the ability to think critically about the written word. Physical literacy to me means to be able to move with confidence and complete wide variety of activities and environments that develop the whole person. More than half of Canadians are considered inactive. Our children are more inactive than ever. Children and youth should be getting atleast sixty minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity. Only nine percent of boys and four percent of girls are meeting these guidelines.
