Is playing tennis fun? I think playing tennis is fun. Tennis is one of my favorite type of sports. Since I started playing tennis, I never get hurt, unlike other kind of sport games; I find it too physical and prone to different kind of injuries and sometimes fatal.
First time I played tennis, I was nervous because I didn`t know how to play. My brother and some of his friends who play tennis taught and showed me how to play the game. I asked myself once again, “why tennis?” Then I came to realize the benefits of playing tennis. Like I can get physical benefits from it. I thought, tennis is a great way to burn calories because, you move a lot like running and chasing the ball, swinging your racquet to hit the tennis ball. Secondly, it also has mental benefits. Our brains need to be exercised as well. I found out that playing tennis requires quick reaction mentally as well. Having to read and react to my opponent style of playing needed in order to win the game. I also love the emotional benefits, especially every time I come from stressful full time job. I have a full time job in the hospital, dealing with my patients and co-workers and have stress throughout the night because I work a graveyard shift. Many times I would go for a run or biking after work to relieve stress, but spend time reliving or planning my day. Playing tennis affords me the benefit of blocking all that out. My mind is forced to think about the game. Part of the reasons why I love playing tennis is the social interaction with other players. It provides me the ability to network with different people I don`t normally meet. Playing tennis, for me, is a great way to get the exercise I need, but also provides me the release of stress that would ultimately make my rest time more effective. Over the years, playing
