He would be better off with the system because, the cake has a lot of sugar and it’s he’s eating a block of sugar everyday. So if Ponyboy stays with Darry he could get bad stomach problems involving diabetes and stomach and health issues. So the opponents that are on Darry’s side might argue that “ He’s a kid let him eat what he wants.” Then back to the system side, “ What’s good with letting him eat what he wants, when it could lead him to health issues, body problems, and possibly dying. So now that the system has a step up, Ponyboy will be better off with the system because they will make sure he gets a good breakfast EVERY MORNING!…

I will be comparing ponyboy and cherry’s conversation on similarities to Johnson's “Inaugural Address”. I'll be showing how they have some of the same idea’s. Ponyboy and cherry’s conversation started with them talking about how the greasers and the socs are similar. This is shown in paragraph two of chapter three when cherry says “Just don’t forget that some of us watch the sunset too.” talking about how the greasers and socs are the same in ways that some people don't see.…

From reading the book it was pretty clear that Ponyboy had a rough family life. It is a huge part of Ponyboys growth realizing his family was the most important thing to him but hadn’t realized this until it was too late. Ever since his parents died he has been under the care of Darry. Ponyboy always felt like Darry never loved him because he could never please him. "He's as hard as a rock and about as human...he thinks I'm a pain in the neck. He likes Soda--everybody likes Soda--but he can't stand me." (Hinton 42) . If Ponyboy were to bring home B’s, he demanded A’s and if he got A’s he wanted his marks to stay that way. Did you know if moved to an foster home, most children have to leave everyone and everything from the past behind them?I believe Ponyboy should go to the system, because of what he does on a daily basis, and what he’s exposed to at home. Ponyboy smokes a pack nearly everyday, which he is very likely to get/have cancer, liable to get jumped, and doesn’t attend school as much. Ponyboy should go to the system, because he’ll be safer, and have a better life. Ponyboy should stay with Darry and Soda, because their their his family, and he can’t get that same family love and affection as of a foster home. Ponyboy is better off going to the system, because he’s less likely to smoke, to stay out of fights, and most likely have a better education.…
