When people drink pop they are raising their blood pressure and the more you drink the higher your blood pressure. When a person “cuts back to one can per day can decrease blood pressure and improve your heart health(Bushak 3)”so even though the person is still having pop it is better to have one a day then three or four a day. Drinking pop does not only effect your heart it also affects your brain teeth bladder bones kidneys and reproductive organs just to name a few. I never knew that pop affected so many parts of the body. I have been putting myself at risk for so many different things like high blood pressure that I did not even
know.
Kidneys are affected by the sugar in the pop can put you at the “risk for kidney disease or kidney failure(bushak)” and once you stop drinking pop your kidneys “are going to be in better shape(bushak).” After reading about this I want to force myself to stop drinking pop because I do not want to be twenty-two years old and have kidney problems. Pop can cause many issue for your body like osteoporosis, risk for cancer like breast and prostate cancer, and infertility.
Hopefully by the end of the 6 weeks I have cut pop out of my daily intake and see a change in my body whether it is losing weight or being more energized by drinking or eating foods that give you energy. Pop affects many organs bones and teeth that people probably don not even know affected.
