Because that is when the fans give their last big shout to propel the player into victory. Saying that Portland fans are better than Seattle fans would be a personal opinion, except that it isn’t. The Portland Timbers have the best fans in the league by far and that is a true fact. The Timbers Army is a prestigious group of soccer lovers that have a beer and cheer for the team in green and gold! With chants like “Keep it up, Rose City! Don’t let up, no pity! Keep it up, Rose City!”, “ You can’t stop us, we are the rose city!”, “I wanna destroy Seattle scum!”. The Timbers even have a saying A.C.E.S (Any City Except Seattle), which really portrays the hatred between these two clubs.
