Poseidon The God Of The Sea
Poseidon's Appearance:

Poseidon is a bearded, older man usually pictured with seashells and other sealife. Poseidon often holds a trident. If he has no attribute, he can sometimes be confused with statues of Zeus, who is also presented similarly in art... and they are brothers.

Poseidon's Symbol or Attribute:

The three-pronged trident. He is associated with horses, seen in the crashing of waves on the shore. He is also believed to be the force behind earthquakes, an odd expansion of the power of a sea god, but possibly due to the association between earthquakes and tsunamis in Greece. Some scholars believe he was first a god of the earth and earthquakes, and only later took on the role of sea god. Poseidon's Appearance:

Next there was the con artist who was the counterpart to the Cyclops in O Bother Where Art Thou. The biggest difference was that the con artist was human and the Cyclops was... a Cyclops. But beyond that, the con artist shows up later in the story as one of the KKK members, and on the other hand after Odysseus left the land of the Cyclops he was never herd of again in the story. Also there is the fact the in The Odyssey the Cyclops charictar devoured some of Odysseus crew, but eventually Odysseus prevailed and blinded the Cyclops…

Here I am, the lord of the sea Ruler and god of storms. They called me earth shaker but, my name was Poseidon. That was my name, and it will be remembered for ages. I was a major civic god of several cities: in Athens, I was second only to Athena in importance, while in Corinth and many cities of Magna Graecia I was the chief god of the polis. In his benign aspect, I was seen as creating new islands and offering calm seas. When I was offended or ignored, I struck the ground with my trident and caused chaotic springs, earthquakes, drownings and shipwrecks. Sailors prayed to me for a safe voyage, sometimes drowning horses as a sacrifice; in this way, according to a fragmentary papyrus, Alexander the Great paused at the Syrian seashore before…
