Positive Work Environment Analysis
Employee satisfaction and professional development are two areas that greatly affect the work environment in any school. These two areas are also major factors in employee engagement. In the following, I plan to discuss these two specific areas as they relate to my school.
Work environment and employee engagement produce outcomes that directly affect how successful a school operates. When provided with a positive and engaging work environment, teachers will often perform at high levels which leads to student success. Positive work environments also help to keep employee engagement at a high level as well. Collaboration between colleagues occurs, which as mentioned above, ultimately leads to student success.
At my school, employees are satisfied, however this could be improved. The reason for this slight dissatisfaction is the level of communication that occurs between staff and administration. At times, teachers and other stakeholders do not feel that they are informed on all issues. This leads to frustration. Teachers are forced to change plans and adjust to things that they could have been made aware of.
With poor communication, teachers also feel that their voices are not being heard. They are not able to provide input as to how processes may be improved. Often teachers are directly impacted with

More professional development for young teachers would have an impact on the entire school. Beginning teachers often bring an excitement to the environment that can help all employees. However, when these young teachers struggle with classroom management, frustration begins to set in. Students tend to feel this as well. This frustration bleeds over into other classes and veteran teaches begin to feel it as well. By addressing this issue, young teachers would benefit, and therefore the work environment and workforce engagement would be more
