Pre-Professional Liaison Position

I am Namosha Mohite and I am a freshman in pharmacy (class of 2021). I want to run for secretary position. I joined Student college of Clinical Pharmacy because I am interested in a career in clinical pharmacy. Currently, I am a pre-professional liaison and a part of the peer mentoring activity, at SCCP. So I understand the role that SCCP plays in developing future pharmacists. Pre- professional liaison position has given me an opportunity to get a closer look into the work of SCCP E-board. I have observed how all the officers work hard, despite being busy with academics, to make the experience of the members enriching. I want to run for this position, to be a part of such an E-board. I want to run so that I can use my planning and organizing
I also understand that it will be my responsibility to serve as a correspondent. And my planning skills will help me maintain a balance between academics and duties, so that I can fulfill my responsibilities. Due to my experience as the founder and captain of Social Awareness club in my high school, I have seen our club secretary work. Hence, I understand the responsibilities associated with that position and what changes have to be made to be effective as a secretary. Moreover, by running for this position and becoming a secretary, I will get an opportunity to work with the student chapter as well as the national professional organization, ACCP. By starting with the secretary position and understanding the work of E-board, I want to eventually be the president and continue to promote dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education. I will also get an opportunity to work with seniors, which will be very beneficial because they will guide me. It will also be beneficial for me because I will get a leadership experience, which will be helpful as I enter the professional world. Most importantly, I want to help SCCP stay organized so that all members can get all they can from
