I use to be picked on my older kids for random things I could not change. So in return I never judge others by the way they look, act or are. In fifth grade I joined a group called M&Ms (Mentors and Mediators), where I helped kids with their academic struggles. It may of been one of the only clubs I have been in but I realized that when I help other people, they inturn constantly lend me a hand. Even though I have not participated in frequent clubs that help the school and/or community, but I think NJHS will help me better my community. I possess the characteristics that NJHS is based upon, like Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. I want to be apart of such a wonderful and respected organization means so much to me just to be invited to be one of its members. If I am indeed inducted into NJHS I will be able to benefit my community. I will use my thoughtful and caring ways to help, while paving my own way toward success. I can serve my community by being reliable and leading others with consideration for others. This why I would be grateful if I was inducted into the National Junior Honors

Throughout my four years of high school, I have consistently pushed myself beyond my limits and comfort zones in attempt to discover my place in the world. I spent most of first two years discovering who I was as an individual, ultimately manifesting into inspiration for success. I grew out of “fitting in” and decided to turn my life and aspirations towards a greater direction; on this road of discovery, I separated myself from those who valued arrogance and indifference. “Nerd Squad” is what I am a part of today, which is why I am currently confident enough to apply for the National Honors Society Scholarship. I believe I have grown into a tenacious, sympathetic, and joyous young man that the entire school has seen develop, and I am honored…
