As a candidate for membership I feel that I already possess the academic requirements for the prestigious, National Honor Society. I possess most of the traits necessary to be in a member and I am willing to learn and adapt to every situation that I am faced with. I maintain high academics while working up to sixteen hours a week for the business my mother and father run. I also volunteer, with my father, to help the disadvantaged and the elderly maintain their homes and lawns. I attend cheerleading practice for two to three days a week and practice softball, workouts …show more content…
this year so far, and practice for the games-last year. I enjoy being a part of the sports here at PCCS. Cheerleading and Softball teach me how to be a part of a team and intern teaches me constructive criticism.
The National Honor Society will help me demonstrate more leadership in my community than I already have. I strive to become more of an individual and leader everyday. The NHS will help me reach my goal of growth and academic integrity. I always strive to show my leadership skills and qualities in my everyday activities. When I work in group projects I listen to others and take criticism. When taking constructive criticism, it betters me as a leader by helping me grow and helping the task at hand grow. The desire to be a leader is something that I have worked towards and will always continue to do for the rest of my life. I will always strive to become better than I am. Listening and learning from others opinions will help me to grow as an individual and a leader. Seeing things from another perspective allows differing thoughts and maturing of ideas.
The National Honor Society is an outstanding privilege, one that I am thankful for.
This society showcases reliability, dependability, leadership, ethics, morality, loyalty to school, and exceptional grades. If I am chosen to be in the NHS, I will work hard to make the society better by volunteering and contributing all that I can, and to also help other members that are a part of the National Honor Society grow. I will also strive to help my peers achieve their goals and personal success that they will, intern, use to better themselves in the long run. If I am chosen to be in the National Honor Society I will give suggestions on how to make, not just my school, but my community better as well. If I became a member of the Nation Honor Society I will cherish this wonderful opportunity, learn to follow then grow to lead and always be involved in my
community.
