Any form of disaster lurks in every corner of the National Capital Region. Be it natural or manmade, the office should react in the most positive manner to such an unpredictable circumstance with most decisive manner for firefighters are always in the forefront. The joint research conducted by the Japan International Cooperation agency
(JICA), Metro Manila Development Authority, (MMDA) MMEIRS and Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on the West Valley Fault Line has been found to have a turnaround time of 400 years and pose a threat to the metropolis. In turn, the study resulted in a lot of policies and framework that would involve most of government, non governmental agencies including the Bureau of Fire Protection
National Capital Region (BFP NCR) and the private, public entities engaged in public safety services. Every agency shall be given a task to perform during the impending scenario and expected to be ready from the time the study ended in 2004. The preparedness of each and every agency is instrumental from capacity building, human resource training and inventory of logistics and procedures form part of this preparations and required of all organizations when the need arises.

Documents review and analysis of all available resources were done and showed following results: The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is tasked and mandated for the prevention and suppression of destructive fires. Also included is the delivery of medical and rescue services as with other fire department services of other countries have also been carried out with the procurement of ambulances and rescue

    A disaster brings violence, terror, and trauma, to all who experience its wrath and devastation. Destruction and suffering is the entertainment that disasters provide to its audience, through a campaign of psychological and physical damage.
