Prezi

Prezi is an online presentation tool that takes the concept of a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to a whole new level. This interactive web-based social media resource offers presenters the ability to illustrate their notes, ideas, and bullet points in an eye-catching and interactive way. Using an unlimited canvas space, a presenter can create a non-linear presentation where the viewer has control over element advances and interactive functions embedded within each presentation. According to Wikipedia, “Prezi is a web-based presentation tool using a map layout and zooming to show contextual relationships which addresses some of the shortcomings of Microsoft PowerPoint.” Established in 2009, Prezi created this zooming presentation tool to allow presenters to show ideas on a big picture scale. According to Prezi’s Facebook page, “Prezi is a zooming visualization and storytelling tool that uses a large canvas much like a whiteboard – instead of traditional slides. In a few clicks, Prezi authors can create something more visually compelling that what would take hours to create with other tools.”

Using Prezi in a marketing campaign can be a cost effective and creative way to integrate a marketing message into the marketplace. As stated in the Strategic Marketing book, “The organization has to communicate with the customer through the strategic window.” Prezi allows an organization to present a message, while helping the audience visualize the concepts in an innovative fashion. Once the organization identifies the target audience, presentations via Prezi can be strategically crafted to enhance audience appeal. This brings credibility to the organizations while providing a compelling medium to illustrate the marketing message. Prezi can not only help organizations present their products or services in an attractive way, but also can help organizations drive traffic to their websites which helps with search engine optimization. “Positioning products
