Week 2 Assignment
1.) Theft of time occurs when an employee is paid for time, which they did not work. Usually this happens through the falsifying of time records. Technically theft of time can also include employees who are not working while on the job, though legally this is more difficult to prove.
With all of the new technologies introduced into the workplace and it grows year by year it has completely transformed work arrangements and habits.

3.) Retaliation is not the same as harassment and it is not about people getting revenge at anyone. Retaliation is about making people afraid to complain or to assert their rights. Federal law protects employees from retaliation when employees complain by either internally or to an outside body like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), about workplace discrimination or harassment. That's true even if the claim turns out to be unfounded, as long as it was made in good faith.
First talk to your supervisor or a human resources representative about the reasons for these negative acts you believe to be retaliation and ask specific questions. Your employer may have a perfectly reasonable explanation you've been moved to a different shift and they thought that is what you wanted.
If your employer can't give you a legitimate explanation, let them know that you believe you are being retaliated against. The employer will probably deny these acquisitions and employers can retaliate without realizing it. Some employees can take advantage and do not know where to draw the line and this could get out of hand company wide.
So the new supervisor, Tracy needs to put a stop to these actions. First I do not think anybody should be talking to family members on the phone everyday for 30 minutes and if a person must they can do it on their break. Checking on her kids is fine and shortens the time she is talking to her husband. Tracy also needs to put a stop to Jennifer checking any social sites while working and media devices and let her know she can do this on her break. Tracy needs to put a policy together so employees know and have some retraining on the subject.
5.) Steven was dealing with a double edge sword, but he did the right thing to tell the truth. He could of lied and said he did not no anything about it and keep his job and friendship with Wayne. He chose to do the right thing and hopefully when Steven is looking for a job Wayne will give him a great
