“Education is key, that’s motto and I wanted, for those that were highly interested in the project, to become more involved. The people of the OC Animal Care unit were kind enough to provide a speaker-representative, and a tour of the facilities. This was an amazing opportunity for those that seeked more knowledge and to be more engaged with this project. At the end of the Pro Pet Project run, we collected in total, over 100 items! and a large sum of monetary donations. All of which benefited the animals of OC Animal Care. Evidently, the Pro Pet Project is very important to me because, not only myself, but others served as the voice of these animals that are in search for their forever homes. I still get the chills when I think about this community-based project. So much effort and time was put into action to make real magic. However, this is not the end; this year we’ve began an official club that will continue to encourage our school to serve the community for those furry or not-so furry friends that are desperate need for a strong, courageous voice. This club will continue to extend into other projects that can help. For instance, we plan to participate in N.A.R.D, National Animal Rights Day to have a continuing progress, as well as continue to provide education
