Abstract
This report contains information about the many problems in which Aeronautical Engineers face, including; Ethical practises (such as avoiding cheap labourers in other countries), responsibilities to the consumer of their product, responsibilities to their employer and also to the environment. This report also contains job prospects and/or opportunities within the Aeronautical Engineering community, as well as training and education. Also included, is what work and current projects are being undertaken. The history of aircraft and development of flight within Australia (some international included). Including current Australian innovations. In addition to this the report also reflects upon the impacts that Aeronautical Engineering has had on people’s lives, leading on to discuss the impact on society as a whole. Finally the report assesses safety issues in discussion to outline the tremendous responsibilities in which an Aeronautical Engineer actually faces. For a deeper understanding Engineering Principles are identified and described, these include; Thrust, Drag, Lift and weight as well as the impact of Bernoulli’s Principle on flight. Certain propulsion systems will also be briefly described.
