How to Make Brookies Two of my favorite treats after a well cooked meal are chocolate chip cookies and brownies. I like them both to be chewy and chocolaty as it melts in my mouth, but I never thought about what it would taste like to combine both delicious deserts into one, creating a brookie. Here’s how I was first introduced to the delicious treat.
When I was a senior in high school my teacher set up bake sales every week to raise money for class activities and school events. I’ve seen people bring cookies, brownies, donuts, and cupcakes to the bake sales, but I never heard of anyone bringing brookies. My teacher made them all the time, but they would sell really fast. She insisted I try them one day, before she put them out on the table. Even though both cookies and brownies are my favorite, I didn’t trust eating them together, I thought it would be too sweet and I wouldn’t like it. But I was wrong, I absolutely loved them. She told me it was very easy to make, and explained the process to me step by step. After learning how to make brookies, I made them at home all the time with my family, and they loved them just as much as I did. Steps on making brookies don’t need many ingredients, which is why it’s so simple and quick to make. To create the brookies you will need a box of brownie mix, 2 eggs, ¼ cup of water, ½ cup of vegetable oil, and cookie dough. You will also need measuring cups so your ingredients could be measured accurately, a mixing spoon, and a cupcake pan as well as cupcake liners. Before you proceed on mixing the ingredients together, you want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and set up your cupcake liners in the cupcake pan. You are now ready start mixing your brownie mixture. Combine all you ingredients together except for the cookie dough. You want to mix the brownie ingredients until you see there is no more flour mixture visible. After that is completed, fill each cupcake liner half way with brownie batter. You

I crack open the two eggs and pour them in the bowl, throwing away the shells. I measure 1/4 cup of water and pour it in the mixture as well as 2/3's of a cup of oil. The hardest part is blending it in really well; I take two minutes really mixing in the ingredients, making sure everything is well mixed in and is on the right condition, not too creamy, but not too hard. Once I am done with that, I grab a couple of Oreos and start breaking them into pieces and putting them in the plastic bag. I start hitting the Oreos, cracking them into smaller pieces and then pouring that into the brownie mixture.…

Belonging is a sense of enlightenment felt when an individual gains an understanding of themselves in relation to others and the wider world. This is just one idea presented about belonging, however there are many different ways to belong and there can be barriers that prevent people from belonging.
