Procrastination At It’s Finest
Has anyone ever heard of the saying, “Procrastination at it's finest?”, I have. Well, let me say this, there is nothing fine about it. Most of all high school students know what the word, “Procrastination” means. To some it may mean, Hell. To others, it may seem as a habit. In reality, it’s the act of putting off or delaying an action to a later time. Many may not think that procrastination is a harmful act, but it actually is. People may not notice that if they put off things until a later time, they may have lost the possibility of accomplishing something else. The act and causes of procrastination with current events can have harmful effects for future results. Some of you may be wondering, “I procrastinate all the time, and manage to complete my work on time.” Don't worry, I use to think that too. In reality, it is very much possible to procrastinate and still complete your work, but on the other hand, what are you losing? There are two life changing stories that I will like to share with you. These two girls . One of the girls names is Alex, and the other one is Valerie. They were both in senior year when both of their lives changed dramatically. First off, I want to speak about Alex. Throughout her entire high school career she worked very hard to maintain her straight A’s. She was valedictorian for our class and received a full-ride scholarship to UCSD. All of this was able to happen because of her strict homework and studying schedule. Her homework policy her first three years in high school weren't ask strict as her first semester of senior year. She never turned in incomplete work nor had any missing assignment's. Whenever there was an assignment given out, she would work on it right away. We were all in the same AP English class. We had our senior presentations and our final exam on the same day as well. She started studying the minute our professor
