After reading the business plan, it is very obvious that Mr. Chris LaBossiere and Mr. Don Riep have thought their ideas out very carefully. They both have very impressive backgrounds in the fields of technology allowing them to be hands on as well as active in their business. ProExams is an Edmonton based business and is a hosted application provider segmented to companies, government training and testing as well as organizations. This unique hosted web application is able to provide customers with exams, training programs, assessments and certifications online fast and reasonably priced. with Leading Edge Technology Inc. in February 2005, they were able to add a new hosted application called Pro-Training.com, this allowed them to offer a new internet training and learning system.
Things I would add and modify to their current business plan would be to create an app for individuals cellular devices for “on the go” training and testing.
I would also advice them to modify their plan to add software for which people can download and purchase ProExam in specialized electronic and education teaching stores. Lastly I would like to provide ProExams with a better marketing strategy, as they don’t have the best one in place. The 4 P’s were not covered well; for example per click is not the only way they should be advertising their services. They need to improve the visibility of the service by adding a sales staff whom can perform door to door business testing and …show more content…
demonstrations.
If ProExams adds products for “on the go” use people all over the world will be able to conduct business while upgrading their staff members or completing certifications all from their phone when and where it is convenient for them. This will allow the company to stay Internet savvy and also branch out from their competitors and branch directly to their users. By adding this new market more students will want to have this application as a study tool and this could create for a higher average success rate.
Although Mr.
LaBossiere and Mr. Riep did not want to offer software I think it is in their best interest that they do. I know they have many strategic goals and things that differentiate them from the current market competition but I believe staying current but also staying a bit behind in the times will make them a force to be reckoned with. By offering the software in stores potential customers, markets and users will be able to test the product and find out for themselves that ProExams is an excellent way to test any individual no matter age or language. ProExams is a very productive tool in that it can help huge enterprises with massive amounts of testing and certification in a quick and inexpensive way. Offering the software to be bought will bring in plenty of revenue as well as good customer relationships.
ProExams must market better than just a per-click basis as not everyone is up to date or has ever heard of a hosted application testing service. By being able to look outside of the Internet community ProExams will be able to advertise to new markets and continue to develop more customer relations as well as international
success.
They can market their program better through simple ways of advertising and promotion like billboard advertising, tutorials and demonstrations at tradeshows and conferences. Advertising and developing billboard campaigns throughout downtown cores and on buses and subway systems will get the attention of people who have not seen or heard of hosted application testing. By paying registration fees to enter tradeshows ProExams will be able to introduce their product to individuals who have not be able to notice or be aware of their service.
The four P’s play a major role in developing and operating a business, that’s why I believe ProExams needs to dip into every market possible as well as appeal to existing and non-existing users. By creating an “on the go” app and having a software in place will help but ProExams needs to hire a sales team and a team force that can set up sales conferences and make door to door business calls. The sales team should know ProExams inside and out and be able to sell, market and most importantly teach their potential users the benefits of hosted testing and how fast and easy it can be implemented.
In conclusion although their business plan is well thought out and they have an obvious test solution that works, there is certain gaps to be filled. If ProExams continues to provide ample support and technological advances they will be sure to knock out competition and gain international success.
