Step1: Defining Project Scope
Project Objective:
In order to maintain a constant level of project and customer service excellence in such a fast-paced technological environment, EMC decided to create an outstanding project management training based on PMI’s project management standard. The project should be done within 2 weeks at a cost not exceed 50 million dollars (assumption).
Deliverables:
1- This program is going to train 100 project management managers all around the world – assumption.
2- Providing 2 class rooms in EMC and the size of each class room is (10*16) – assumption.
3- 2 instructors for each class room and each class has 50 managers.
4- 5 tables that handle 10 managers and 50 chairs in every class room – assumption.
5- A deck for the instructor – assumption.
6- 2 White bored and2 projector for the instructors – assumption.
7- The program of the training has 3 tiers and they are project management essentials, professional skills and technical education.
8- 102 computers for the web based training.
Milestone: (assumption)
1- Getting the 2 class rooms from EMC by July 1
2- Getting the class rooms prepared with all equipment’s stated in the deliverables by July 8.
3- Getting the computers all fixed to the EMC project management managers program by July 11.
4- Testing the class rooms and its equipment’s by July 14.
Technical Requirements: (assumption)
1- The computers accept 120volt alternating current without any adapters or users switches.
2- The brightness of the projector screen should be clear.
3- The room temperature 21◦ .
Limits and Exclusions:
1- Every project manager is required to complete up to 40hr of training per quarter.
2- No smoking inside class rooms – assumption .
