Pros And Cons Of Being A Medical Equipment Salesperson

ADRIANNA - In my opinion there are multiple pros and cons being a Medical Equipment Salesperson. To being, one pro would be personal selling. By being a personal salesperson you get to represent the firm’s sales force in order to engage customers, make sales, and build customer relationships. People holding these jobs are responsible for listening to the customer, assessing their needs, and organizing the overall company’s efforts to solve any customer problems. These individuals get the privilege of working with the products and the customers personally. They get to form unique and positive customer relationships. For a social person, like myself, a job that requires you to talk to people and communicate with them on a daily basis seems like a perfect fit. Additionally, these
The first con is the time commitment the jobs requires. The video mentions that selling this type of equipment often requires the sellers to be present at the hospitals, communicating with the doctors and staff, on a regular basis. They often times need to be on call, just like the doctors are. Clearly, this is a very intense time commitment that requires a lot of dedication and commitment to accomplish successfully. Another con is the training that goes into preparing for the job. The sales people must know everything about the products they are selling and therefore need to be training accordingly. This training process can take up to two years to complete. The final con is the requirement to sit in on surgery. I am a person who does not enjoy blood and would therefore hate having to sit in on surgeries. Surgeries are high pressure situations and I do not believe i am the right type of person to be in that situation. Although I do think being salesperson is a wonderful career,I do not think that being a medical equipment salesperson is the right job for
