Pros And Cons Of Being Against Bringing Dog To Work
I support being against bringing your dog to work. I support this decision because I think a work place shouldn't be a place for your dogs. While your at work you need to focus on getting your work done rather than playing with a dog. Many people would get distracted from doing there work if people brought there dogs to work. If people brought there dogs to work they would need to take breaks to take them outside so they can use the bathroom.

I also support this decision because in the passage, " Against Bringing Dogs to Work," it states, " not everyone likes dogs or is comfortable around them." Many people know that all people dont like dogs. Not all people are gonna like dogs because they have had a hard time with dogs like getting bitten

In the beginning, I was maddened by the fact that dogs were kidnapped and auctioned off as if they were material possessions. As the film progressed, I found myself increasingly disgusted with how certain characters, like Hal, overworked their sled dogs and forced them to labor in harsh conditions. Furthermore, I was outraged when Hal attempted to starve the dogs when there were food limitations on the journey. The film might have affected me more than general audience because I have an extremely strong connection with my dog. I can imagine how upset I would be if my dog was one of the sled dogs being forced to work long hours under Hal’s whip. Overall, I am outraged with the way that labor dogs were treated by certain characters in Call of the…

First, they mentioned the traffic congestion being an issue near any park that is built. Traffic should not be any more of an issue with a dog park than it would be with a park for children, a local coffee shop or movie theatre. This appeared to me as more of a grasp for straws in their argument rather than a legit concern for the community.…

There is a lot of controversy between legislation and pit bull supporters over the banning of pit bulls. Pit bulls have been characterized as aggressive, dangerous, and vicious animals because of their genetic predisposition. For that matter legislation is trying to stop the breeding of pits in order to crack down on dog fighting and vicious attacks. Legislation should not just single out pit bulls because all dogs have the capacity to be aggressive. Owning a pit bull is a chosen responsibility and like a parent is responsible for their child, the owner should be responsible for the action of their animals.…

Should dog’s that have never had a bad mark on their record be taken from their families and put into an animal shelter just to be killed, or should they be given a chance? Not only does this mean that a child may lose their best friend but a great dog is being punished for looking a certain way. This can be tied back to America’s over exaggerated fear of difference. We disrespect pit bulls with all of the stereotypes against their breeds when in the early 1900s they were a pride of our country, they were the military mascot and much more. Pit bulls are not vicious by genetics they are vicious due to irresponsible or abusive pet owners.…

    Pitbull Legislation

The problem is gang members, drug dealers and dog fighters have been known to train these animals because it often has been claimed that the pit-bull and other “fighting” breeds are especially dangerous because of human breeding selection for physical and “temperamental” traits functional in pit fighting (Budiansky, 2001). . The media spotlights these incidents altering the perception of people whose only exposure to these animals is seeing them in connection with criminals. To these people outlawing so called “dangerous breeds” may sound like a logical solution. However, responsible dog owners are having their homes invaded and being forced to watch a beloved family member being taken away to be “destroyed”. Not because the dog had bitten someone or it was being used in illegal activity, but because it has been labeled dangerous for no other reason than being a pit-bull. Cities, counties and states all across the nation are enacting these pit-bull bans in reaction to highly publicized criminal activity involving these animals. Can you imagine enacting a ban on Pomeranians because a criminal was the owner of one?…

In the animal world Pit bulls are victims of discrimination. The second someone hears the word pit bull they become frightened. A lot of times you will hear on the news that someone had been bit by a dog. Know matter what kind of dog had bit someone, the news shows a picture of a Pit Bull. This is not fair. These animals are no different then any other large breed of dogs. Yet because of some foolish people who take a pit bull puppy, isolate it, starve it, antagonize it, and simply raise it for the sole purpose to fight it for money, there is now the concern to ban this breed. It is not the breed of dog that should be ban. It is the group of people that organize these dog fights. If you are a dog or even an animal lover, please hear…

Moving right along, Pit-bulls haven’t always had the bad reputation they have today. Over the years, other dogs have been blamed for “dangerous” and “ruthless” acts. In the 70’s, the Dobermans were blamed. In the 80’s it was the German Shepard’s turn. Next, in the 90’s, Rottweiler’s committed the crime. Now it’s the Pit-bulls turn, and people are going against them head-on, and all I can say is that they are barking up the wrong tree. Blaming dogs for the wrong-doings of humans is inhumane itself.…

Every year hundreds of people within various communities are bitten by dogs. Some are bitten by wild dogs, while others are bit by domestic dogs. Each and every dog has the capability to bite a human but it appears that only one breed is being punished for it, pit bulls. The issue about the community supporting the council in prohibiting unregistered dogs for a safer community has been prominent in the media in recent years since poor Ayen Chol was brutally attacked. In the feature article ‘owners dump dangerous dogs to avoid penalties" published in the Herald sun, on the 07/09/11, by Grant McArthur and Alex White contends that pitbull are dangerous animals. In an outraged tone, the article targets pitbull owners, imposing the ideology that they should take more responsibility of their obligations.…

One reason I support letting drug dog in our school is because it's safer for the environment and for the students. Experts say the use of dogs reflect the problem administration face as they try to protect the schools, while providing a comfortable environment for students ( Robinson). This evidence proves that allowing these kids of searches will make the school environment safer. Secondly, drug dogs are important because it attacks the problem before it gets out of control. They deter those who would think of bringing drugs or firearm on a campus...they dont know, when the searches are coming...…

A new law says that only dogs are allowed to help people in public places. I feel that the law is not necessary. Other animals should be allowed to go in public places too especially if they are a service animal. Monkeys work really hard at a place in Boston called “Helping Hands” so they can help people in need. Also other animals have other talents that dogs do not have. So if a person would like something to drink a dog can pour their owner something to drink.…

    1. What is your opinion on this issue? Provide two or three reasons to support your argument. I feel that only a person with a disability should be allowed to have a dog at work. A person who is just an owner of a dog should not be allowed to bring a dog into the workplace simply for the fact that a dog cannot be dependable or trustworthy of their actions. An employee may be uncomfortable when a dog comes into the workplace and start sniffing around them. The employee do not know what the dog will do if the employee becomes afraid of it. These situations open up liabilities against the company.…

    Animal Testing Ethics

There are several factors that influence an individual's opinion on animal testing. Sarah Knight and Louise Barnett, authors of " Justifying attitudes toward animal use: a qualitative study of people's views and beliefs" introduce a factor that applies to me, which is experiences with pets. Personally, as a animal lover, I have experienced a bond between me and my animal that I can truly say has influenced my life significantly. In my opinion, animals are so much better than humans, in so many ways. When you build a relationship with a animal, they can become your motivation in life. From my experience with my dog, Lox, he was my motivation for everything. At first, when we got him I didn’t think nothing of him and I didn’t want to be bothered with him. He was just another responsibility that I had to cater too. I soon began to fall in love with him. He brought so much happiness into my life especially when he would run to me after I came home for school. My dog was the only reason I liked being home because he was the only one who I could cry in front of. I'm not an emotional person but after a hard day at school, he was my happy place. He's gone now but when I look at any other animal, I could only imagine my dog. I couldn't imagine him going through the things that other animals go through because that bond that we have built was everlasting and still is. You would expect people to have a…
