There is no limit on how many guns one person should have. This causes the issue of some people owning too many guns to keep track of and those people that have illegal guns. If lots of people own guns, then how is the government supposed to know who has illegal guns that aren’t up to regulation? Owning a gun is an essential right, protected by the US Constitution. The anti-gun control person would probably continue to say that all other arguments for gun control are irrelevant and pointless because he or she is an American with rights. The Second Amendment to the US Constitution clearly promises the people’s right to possess firearms. This right has been maintained by the federal government for many years. Anyone who says the Second Amendment is old and was made in a time when the people feared an overpowered government, is only misinterpreting the meaning. The Amendments to the US Constitution were added as a way to guarantee specific rights that couldn’t be taken away from the
