Pros And Cons Of Guns On Campus
This continues a debate that will go on and on for a long time since there are pros and cons on both sides of the spectrum. It will not be easy for the opposing side to keep baring guns from campus since it is a constitutional right to own and carry a gun. On the other hand, even with the right it would be difficult to overcome the opposition and eventually win the right to circumvent the “gun free zone” attitude and make our campuses safer for everyone. This may not transpire until the mental health issue is addressed which seems to be a bigger issue for the students to overcome. With the proper gun safety education and training, concealed guns on campus would not be a distraction any more than the common ink pen is a distraction.
