One of the therapeutic interventions that was observed was the RN leading a group therapy session. She was able to include most of the patients by inviting them to sit around the table and talk about their goals were for the day. This allowed the patients to be held accountable for the goal of the day. If the nurse were to witness a behavior that was in direct conflict with the patient’s goal, the nurse would give a simple reminder that they are supposed to be working on that particular issue. Another therapeutic intervention the RN was observed performing was administering medication to a patient who was displaying manic behavior. It is hard to open up to someone who is hostile and is obviously avoiding you. Having a strong work ethic is also important when taking on a new role in a team. I believe I have many strengths that can positively impact the team I work with. Being able to collaborate well and know when to let others lead can help alleviate tensions that can come with working in a team. I need to work on how I first come across to others. I stand back and allow others to take over until I feel more at ease with the group/ situation. I am then able to open up and share my ideas and thoughts about the given
