Teachers are finding fun and interesting ways to teach this theorem in a way that sticks with the student throughout their mathematics schooling. The basics of mathematics must be understand before graduating to more complex problems, so without grasping the basic concepts, like the Pythagorean theorem, a student can become stuck and unmotivated to further their education. A majority of students start high school with a hatred of math, but when teachers become engaged with their students and they are able to learn this basic concepts, math becomes more manageable and grades in all classes improve. Finding a correlation between students’ grades and the Pythagorean theorem, shows how deeply rooted it is in the real world. It seems for current and future students, the pythagorean will be used to find the size of their ever so important screens on their devices, but whether those pesky students admit it or not when they leave school, they will continue to use the theorems that have even instilled into them.
