In the health domain, children with developmental disorders or schizophrenia scored significantly lower in QoL compared to children with other disorders. In the school and environmental domain there were significant differences in scores. Children who attended special classes in mainstream schools scored higher on QoL, than those in regular classes or those who were in a mental health unit. The children who attended school in a mental health unit reported significantly lower in the QoL. Overall, in all domains, the children with mental disorders scored significantly lower scores in QoL than children from the general population.
