Women make up more than fifty-one percent of society. They have been and still are discriminated in society in many different ways. The men believed that they are more superior then the women, and they think they are stronger than women. Men also believed that women could not do the things men could do. Although, this is not the case. Women are doctors, sergeants, athletes, and even movie stars just like men. Even though women do the same things as men, they do not get treated the same. A women might have the same job as man, and do it just as well as him also. Although, that women gets paid less for her job then a male does. They fought for their rights and gained their freedom. There were many other people that faced difficulties in society and they too are learning to overcome them. I do think that discrimination and racism will soon be gone in society. I believe, that no one is born a raciest person, they are taught to be racist by their family members. These people are stuck in the past when we had slaves and they do not know how to get over that. Racial discrimination has been around since the first European set foot in the U.S. Although, I believe it is slowly going away, and I think that one day it will be gone altogether. One day everyone will treat each other equal, although I do not think that will be until about twenty or so
