Radiology Technicians are a special group of individuals who specialize in X-Ray technology. These individuals have been specifically trained to take many types of X-rays. One study states “ Employment of Radiogrophy Technicians is projected to grow by 25% between 2006 and 2016” this means that this profession is in high demand. Therefor the three main reasons that Radiogrophy technicians are important to society is that they go through specialized training for their jobs, plus they must have a good sense of patient care, and they assist in helping the doctors find and treat the problem.

First of all, when it comes to the schooling and training a person must learn the anatomy fairly well. They also take classes to learn the bone structure so they are able to evaluate the patients problem. Also they learn the body's organs to be able to examine them with specialized X-rays. A lot of times radiology technicians are dealing with a person in who is in a substantial amount of pain, therefor they must be able to help calm the person to do the necessary test. Another part of patient care is being able to maneuver the patient to get the correct angle for testing. This requires a good amount of physical stamina. For these reasons patient care is a key element to being a radiology technician.

Finally the reason that radiology technicians are important is that they help find and fix the problem. One way they help is by starting the initial test for the doctor. After the testing they help the doctor in determining the problem. They follow doctors treatment plan for the patient. This is done and carried out in many different ways.
