1. Executive Summary
In today’s dynamic and unstable economic conditions, to be competitive and sustainable is a great challenge for all companies in the economies. To cope with these difficulties in the environment, firms are striving towards building a sustainable and effective core competency which is human resource. Therefore, Human Resource Management (HRM) is widely and profoundly gaining increasing importance to the organization’s stability and development.
PepsiCo is a corporate entity that has long been well-known for its HRM, especially, PepsiCo for its attention to undergraduates – potential and promising sources of employment for the corporate the future. Therefore, this report will stress the vitality of HRM, by discussing three main steps in the HRM: Recruitment, Selection and Orientation in PepsiCo, specifically in its Management Trainee Program for both current employees and undergraduates from universities all over Vietnam.
This program has been proved to be highly successful and this report will describe how the three processes are carried out in PepsiCo’s Management Trainee Program and discuss its advantages, disadvantages and also give out some recommendations to improve the effectiveness of this human resourcing program. In specific, PepsiCo has used a variety of recruitment and selection tools that are proved to be effective
