My freshman year was an important year because my teachers were pushing me more. Teachers were taking the modifications out of my assignments. Even though I still had my ESL support class, where they would still help me with my other classes’ assignments, I was on my own in the rest of my classes. In my freshman year, I could read, write and English much better and I felt confident in doing so. It wasn’t the best but it was my best. Sophomore year came and I was put in a regular English class, but it was 9th grade English. This made students make fun of me again because they I was the only sophomore in that class. Still that didn’t stop me because I knew how good I was doing. In my sophomore year I moved into the top 10% of class rank, which I was really proud of. Then my Junior year came, and I was nominated for an opportunity to be in National Honor Society. I was accepted and was part of NHS which means that I had to present academic awards. Lastly my senior year came and my hard work kept paying off. I was the only Hispanic guy in NHS, and then became the Vice-President. I also got Youth of the Year of my community. Finally, for graduation I was one of the three finalists for the Veterans award. All these accomplishments throughout my high school career meant a lot to me, to my family and to my
