ENG101/RCA021
Reflection of Course
This course has been very enriching and enjoyable. It has tremendously contributed to my growth as a student. Every activity and assignment in this course was a unique learning opportunity. The course was very well-designed for each activity added to the larger objective of the course which was- helping students to explore the world of words and develop reading versatility. And, I believe the course succeeds in achieving this goal.
The time I put into my work is satisfying, but I think if I put more time into my work it would be above the average. I feel as though I work just enough to get through. This is not the way I want it to be, but I’m so focused on so many other things besides school, it’s hard to make time. I would like to be less focused on other things in the future to make my work more about average.
The life of a college student to me supposed to be fun while learning. As for me, I would call mines a rush and unsettled learning environment. I am not mentally ready for the college life, but I’m trying to bare it. Though I’m not ready, I say to myself each day that I need to do something in the meanwhile until I figure out what I really want to do.
From my view, I’m not doing well because I know I can do better. I need to be more focused and attend classes more regularly. My attendance started out fine and then I missed like two days and got overwhelmed the amount of work I had to do. That made me feel a little stressed.
The exciting practical component of the course, coupled with strong foundations, gave me opportunities to explore and experiment with different learning methods. I have learned to critically examine the choices I make as a student, and to reflect on how well my study techniques align with the grades of my assignments. I have now begun to constantly evaluate my learning practices and beliefs. This has made me a more receptive, mindful and a motivated student. Having
