Reflective Account On Child Care Work

Ever since I was about 3 or 3 ½ years old I had always loved learning and helping my family. Just two days after my 3rd birthday I got a baby brother. At first I wasn’t excited but as time went by I realized that I loved babies and smaller children. When I was 8 my baby sister was born, and one of the first nights that she was home I was giving her a bottle and we both fell asleep on the couch. Just two years ago my cousin was born, I loved holding and feeding her. One of my favorite things is helping my mom or nana babysit her. A few months after my cousin was born I went to my aunt’s house and “helped” watch her. I have realized that being around younger siblings and cousins has made me love to be around other kids that are younger than me. The working environment will depend on where you are employed.
