In the Self-directed search my code is SIC. Some of the occupations that match my code are a hearing aid specialist, informatics nurse specialist, critical care nurse, and telecommunicator. The leisure activities that I may enjoy based on my code include ghost hunting, mythology, nutrition, self-help groups, and tutoring. The other occupations I thought about earlier in life were a preschool teacher, secondary school teacher, and an ultrasound technologist. None of these match my code. The teachers are SAE and ultrasound technologist is RSI. My aspirations summary code is SAR. Even though this doesn’t match my SDS code it doesn’t mean that I can’t do a certain occupation. Knowing these results will help give me more ideas and also help me…
Searching for the right career choice in life is not an easy task. There are a few important points to take into consideration when searching. Second, she can seek out the great diversity of opportunities available to her that she might not otherwise knew existed before the Career Interests Profiler. Finally, the author will always appear presentable to promote herself to interested employers searching for great people who are knowledgeable and experienced in particular areas (Myers, 2015).…

After the Type Focus assessment, I realized just how much I enjoy things in an orderly fashion. In my personality results I am an ISJF whom naturally focus on caring and commitment. I normally like to be on my own when completing most tasks. My strongest interest was conventional meaning like to follow set procedures and routines, which I have confirmed. Being a child welfare specialist there are certain rules you have to go by and certain steps and procedures you have to follow I know that I would do well in this job setting. Social was my second highest interest being in a career field like the one I have chosen there are times that you have to be very social I feel like I am able to make fit right in.…
On the self-assessment inventory, I scored between 76 and 88 out of 100 on each key competency except for the Change and Across Cultures competencies. My scores were within the numerical range for 68% of managerial professionals that completed this self-evaluation. For the most part, I see myself as very good on a number of the skills such as balancing my personal and work life, embracing uniqueness, supporting the goals of a team, and making ethical business decisions. For the Across Cultures competency, I am lacking in global experience and the skills to recognize the differences of various cultures and customs. In addition, I need to improve on recognizing, leading, and implementing adaptations when needed by teams and organizations.…
The career interest profiler shows I am mostly investigative, with a score of 30. Considering my background, I strongly agree with the results. Investigative interest deals with thinking rather than working with or leading people. Investigative people tend to look for facts, and try to figure out problems. I am the type of person who likes to work alone, because it is the most efficient for me. Working alone allows me to think more comfortably, rather than discussing a solution with everyone.…
The abilities an individual possesses are an accumulation of their previous life experiences and the various competences which have been practiced for many years. Often times, these skills are overlooked and taken for granted as we never actually think about them in terms of their effect on our potential career choices. After thinking about my personal skills, I compiled a list which included; communication, cooperation, patience, listening, helping others and perseverance; all skills which I have possessed for majority of my lifetime and have used to overcome many challenges. One example in particular which required me to draw on many of these skills, was fairly recently; I am a dance instructor for children ages four to seven and there was a young boy who joined the class later than the rest of the students. I noticed that he was struggling…
When I first learn about the Quarter Plus Program, I know it is going to be challenging. However, I am excited to solve it like a puzzle and make some friends before school starts. This can ensure my goal of graduating in four years without struggling too much during my freshman year. Furthermore, I know that low-division classes are highly impacted and I want to avoid them as much as possible since they might affect my academic performance in the future. The Quarter Plus Program gives me the opportunity to do so. In addition, I want to use my summer vacation wisely and going to the Quarter Plus Program can help me schedule my time well. I do not want my parents to worry too much about my college education and having a head start can ease their…
Immediately, when I turned sixteen I woke up in the morning and saw a pair of shinny silver keys sitting on my desk. I jumped up with excitement and rushed out the door wearing only my boxers, with the keys dangling in my hand. There it was: my brand new GMC Envoy, dark hunter green with a wax that could blind you. I stared at the car with excitement and admiration; it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and it was mine. I took it for a test drive around the block and opened it up on the highway only three blocks from my house. It had a V8 under the hood, black leather seats, a Bose sound system and enough horsepower to tow anything I desired. After my first test drive around the neighborhood, I picked up the phone and called my friends. I couldn't wait to show off my new car. With a quick thank you and a hug for my parents, I sprinted out the door. Hearing a faint be careful from my mom in the background, I slammed the front door and raced to my car.…
When Mrs Gamble introduced the I-Search, I already had an idea of what I wanted to do, though, not a clear one. I became excited when Mrs. Gamble was explaining the process of the I-Search, I was also trying to forget about everything my brother told me and enjoy it. After doing some thinking, I decided that I would do my research on concussions since concussions are common in the sports I play. I wanted to know not only how to prevent them, but the diagnostics and symptoms. I took quality notes and found dense sources to back up my notes. Then, I hit a fork in the road.…
When someone is doing something that they love, it is not the wrong choice no matter what anybody else says. Even if they are told that they are the worst, they should keep going because if they truly enjoy it, then the situation turns around 360 degrees around and they’ll become exceptional at it. I enjoy writing a lot. When I am writing, I feel like I can do anything. I can write about a princess trapped in a tower or a pirate searching for lost treasure. There's overwhelming choices to write about and each and every choice is infinite. When I first started writing, I was struggling. My writing was all over the place and it was just a huge mess. But, I still tried my best to overcome the obstacle and continue to do what I love doing. The end result of my pursuit was what someone can call a success, I am now in English Honours. Even though my writing skills were in a considerably poor quality, I did not give up and continued to do what makes me happy.…
When I read both of the two concepts, I felt niche- picking applies more on me. Even though I was born in a large family, but I got a lot of attention from both of my parents and my siblings, maybe because I was the youngest child in my family, or maybe I was just a lovely kid. Anyway, I grew up in such a supportive environment, which built up my self confident and made me more effective.…
Baseball is one of the most important things in my life. Baseball is one of my loves in this world baseball is a game that I can get away from the real world and just do what I do on the baseball field. I learned the game of baseball by many people and all of their styles rubbed off on me and helped me become the player I am today.…

Back in 2006 I felt really disappointed when I accepted the fact that I wasn’t going anywhere outside my country after finishing High School. I had tried my best to score well on my SAT and on my grades, along with several extracurricular activities to build up a personal profile that would be good enough to enter an American University. But things did not work out back then. My family was struck by an inconvenient event, and I was forced to make a last minute decision to stay.…
