Team work refers to when there is coordinated effort by people in order to achieve a common goal. Team work helps to ensure work is done effectively and efficiently. The Belbin theory of team work is used to identify an individual with the kind of work they can perform. The strengths and weaknesses of individuals are identified and roles are assigned to them based on what suits them most. Dividing roles according to one`s capabilities provides room for concentration and delivery.

When priorities have to be determined for scarce resources there is need for such values. Good team work can assist the patients to recover quickly as the standards of care are made better.
